Basic DJ Equipment Checklist

Are you a beginner to the mobile DJ profession? Maybe this is something you’ve been considering, but are not really sure how to go about getting started. In this article, we will cover a basic equipment list for the beginner mobile DJ. We’ll cover everything from turntables and mics to mixers such as the Alesis Multimix 8 USB, which is quite popular among DJs and musicians.

One of the first items that any DJ will need is some type of turntable. Turntables come in basically two different types. You can choose from either direct drive or belt drive, with direct drive being considered the best and also a bit more pricey to reflect its superiority. You will also want to be aware of the pitch adjustment of the turntable.
